Privacy Policy

Charts are calculated locally and no chart data is sent to a calculation service.

Almagest does not send us, or any server we operate, your personal data. There is no account, developer-operated analytics, advertising or third-party tracker. We do not sell or share your app content.

Apple-provided services and actions you deliberately take can involve limited data leaving the app. Those cases are identified below, including what leaves the app and who processes it.

• Chart positions, house cusps, aspects, timeline events, boundary checks and exports are computed on your device from the chart data you enter. No generative model is used.
• Saved charts, coordinates, dates and notes remain in the app's local data store. Rolling backups are kept in the app's shared local container; Almagest does not enable CloudKit sync.
• Optional place-name search uses Apple's MapKit service and sends only the text you enter in that search field. Selecting a result fills its coordinates and time zone locally. Search is optional: you can enter coordinates manually and calculate charts without it.
• Almagest does not request location permission.

• Almagest uses Apple's StoreKit to load products, complete purchases, check entitlement status and restore purchases. StoreKit receives no chart data; we do not receive your payment-card details.
• If you export a chart archive, image, PDF or text table, iOS sends that file only to the destination you choose. Exported chart archives contain the recorded chart inputs, so the destination's privacy and retention terms apply.
• If you have iCloud Backup enabled, iOS may include local app data in your encrypted device backup. That is separate from CloudKit sync.

Nothing. We run no server that receives your content, we neither require nor offer an account, and we embed no analytics or advertising SDKs. We cannot see your app content because it is not sent to us. The app-specific notes above identify the limited cases in which an Apple service or a destination you choose processes data.

Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. StoreKit uses network access to load products, complete purchases, check entitlement status and restore purchases. This transaction traffic is separate from your app content: the app does not add your journal, notes, photos, prayer activity, chart data or other in-app content to StoreKit requests. We never see your payment-card details.

You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. That is entirely within your control and never requires contacting us.

If your device is configured to share analytics with app developers, Apple may make crash and diagnostic information available to us through its developer tools. The app contains no analytics SDK and does not deliberately log or attach your app content to those reports. You control Apple's sharing setting under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

This app is not directed at children under 13 and sends us no personal data. If you believe a child has included personal information in an email to us, write to the address below and ask us to delete that correspondence.

Laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. We hold no personal data received from the app, so there is nothing from the app for us to produce or erase. If you contact us by email, you can ask us to provide or delete your support correspondence.

Use the app's deletion controls where available. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device, but may not remove copies in an Apple-operated private iCloud service or device backup, or files you previously exported or shared. Manage those copies in the relevant Apple service or destination. We have never sold personal information and never will.

If this app's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page is updated before that change ships, and the date above changes with it.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use that correspondence to respond to you, not for advertising or app analytics. Your email provider and ours process the message under their own privacy terms.
